Walk from Amsterdam Central Station
It is about a 15-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station to our boat rental. Take the exit at the stationsplein (front of the station). Then walk right along the station square until you reach the Melkmarktsbrug / Western Entrance Bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right towards the Prins Hendrikkade. Keep walking straight ahead until you pass Nieuwe Westerdoksstraat and then Haarlemmer Houttuinen. At the end of the Haarlemmer Houttuinen, turn right towards the Grote Bickersstraat (walk through the tunnel). Keep walking straight ahead, the Grote Bickerstraat changes into the Zandhoek. Canal Motorboats is on your right at Zandhoek 22.
Parking at IJdok or Willemspoort
We advise you to drive to the parking garage Interparking IJdok or Willemspoort and park your car there. This is much cheaper than parking on the street and it is only an 8 minute walk from our boat rental. Would you like to combine boating with a day in Amsterdam? Then this is also a very convenient place to park your car thanks to its central location. It is within walking distance of the canals, Amsterdam Central Station and many other attractions. The address of the IJdok car park is IJdok 33, 1013 MM Amsterdam and the address of the Willemspoort car park is Haarlemmer Houttuinen 549, 1013 GM Amsterdam.
You can also park via ParkBee. This is a website where several parking garages are affiliated and where you can park at a discounted rate at various locations in Amsterdam.
Public transport
Are you coming from Central Station Amsterdam? Take bus 48 in the direction of the Houthavens and get off at stop Barendszplein. You are there in 3 minutes. Cross over to Barendszplein and after the buildings turn left to Bokkinghangen. Walk 60 metres straight ahead and across the bridge you will find Canal Motorboats. Bus 18 and 21 also both leave from Amsterdam Central Station. Get off at the Buiten Oranjestraat stop. This is a 5 minute walk from our boat rental.
Are you coming from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station? Then take bus 22 and get off at stop Buiten Oranjestraat. This is a 5 minute walk from our boat rental.
You can also take the ferry from Amsterdam North to the Houthavens. This is 7 minutes walking distance from our boat rental.
Prefer to take the tram? Tram 5 stops at the Eerste Marnixdwarsstraat. This is 10 minutes walking distance from our boat rental. From December 2022, tram 3 will stop even closer at a 3 minute walk.
