The saloon boat is covered and features an open rear deck.
In addition to the cruise rates, a mandatory tourist tax of €2.60 per person applies. Please make sure to indicate the correct number of guests when booking.
The standard departure point is close to Amsterdam Central Station, near Stationsplein 18. A different boarding location is possible upon request.

The Barbarella is not just any boat. In the 1960s, it was specially built for Maup Caransa, a well-known real estate magnate in Amsterdam. After World War II, Caransa built a large business empire and owned several prominent hotels. He used the boat to host important guests in complete peace and luxury, adding to the exclusive nature of these meetings. That special atmosphere can still be felt when you step aboard today.
Nowadays, the Barbarella is fully modernized. Thanks to its quiet, electric motor, you can cruise through the canals in an eco-friendly way, while still enjoying full comfort and luxury.

Can you put on music?
It is forbidden to have loud music on the boat. If you do not comply with this, the enforcers may confiscate your equipment and issue a fine. So stick to this to avoid this.

A sailing rule that always applies is that priority must be given to longer boats. So do you see a boat that is longer than your boat? Then always give the boat priority. Always give priority to commercial shipping such as tour boats.
