It’s summer again and all the local citizens are looking forward to one specific holiday. And no we’re not talking about the national herring bite day. Of course we are talking about the Gay Parade Amsterdam. The day that everyone dresses up in their best outfit. And celebrate exuberantly, that love is for everyone! Gay, bi, transgender or just straight, everyone is partying along on this national event. The canals are filled with boats along the quay to watch dozens of parade boats passing by. More and more reason to rent a boat during Gay Parade Amsterdam.
Rent your own boat during Gay parade Amsterdam!
Of course you and your friends also want to moor your own sloop and watch the parade up close. Well then you’re sitting right here! Because at Canal motorboats you can hire a boat in Amsterdam for the whole day during the Gay Parade.
How does it work?
If you rent a boat during gay parade, it’s yours from 10:00 to 19:00. You rent the boat including skipper and in total 7 people fit on board. This way you don’t have to worry about who is going to be the designated driver. And you will be brought back safe and on time to a destination of your choice. The price for renting the boat during Gay Parade Amsterdam is higher than the regular rates. Take a look at the prices here and make a reservation.
Would you rather have a bigger boat? Our sister company Eco boats Amsterdam rents sloops for up to 12 people.
Attention! Be on time the sloops are sold out well in advance every year.
Rules for renting a boat during Gay parade Amsterdam
During the Amsterdam Gay Parade the canals are full of boats and hundreds of thousands of visitors come to this event every year. This means that the canals and streets won’t look as neat at 18:00 as they did before. We believe that celebrations should not be an excuse for anti-social behaviour. That’s why we like to remind you of the rules.
- Throw your garbage neatly into the garbage boats that sail through the canals (we provide garbage bags).
- Put on your naughtiest outfit! It is anti-social to leave it hanging in the closet even longer.
- Do not play amplified music! On the canals, music is played on high quality sound systems. Your tunes are therefore superfluous.
- Do not seduce the Captain he is not from steel.
- Don’t drink too much and don’t fall off the boat. The water is cold and that’s how you keep other boats.
Not in the mood for a party?
